A celebration of two of my favourite things. 

Spoons ~ I am obsessed with, and collect spoons of all shapes and sizes from around the world; new, old, hand carved, lacquered, forged, opulent, rustic and everything in between. From giant wooden crock stirrers (the length of my arm) to tiny Georgian silver spoons (the size of baby son’s little finger) for svanetian salt, I love them all. Beyond their practical applications they are somehow symbolic of what it means to nourish. To nourish my family, friends, friends of friends and greater community. So very proud and excited to collaborate and co design these beauties with the wonderfully talented Cathy @newend.jewelry. Handmade, beautifully weighted and the perfect tool for applying finishing salts (and condiments). Available in vintage brass or silver. (spoon length 90mm)

Salt - my favourite ingredient and something that I’ve taken great pleasure in researching and playing around with over the years. So very stoked  to finally release my first range of Rough Rice Salts. These vibrant and unique seasonings are the perfect answer to brighten up all manner of dishes (and drinks). I use them mainly as ‘finishing salts’ and they’re on high rotation in my kitchen. They add instant complexity, depth, colour and magic. So here it is…. 

Rough Rice Salt Pack (5 x 70g) 

~ Borlotti Bean Miso Salt - 3yo borlotti bean miso blended with seasalt. Umami rich, vegemity with a hint of sour and bitter.

~ Fermented Turmeric Salt - organically grown and wild fermented turmeric blended with seasalt and black pepper. Zingy, vibrant and very yellow. 

~ Fermented Borscht Salt - 8yo wild fermented borscht blended with seasalt and kalonji. Earthy, fragrant and psychedelic. 

~ Angasi Oyster Salt - freeze dried angasi oysters blended with seasalt. Loaded with zinc, iron, B12, Vit D, selenium, protein + amino acids. Huge minerality. 

~ Mothership Fermented Chilli Salt - freeze dried mothership hot sauce blended with seasalt. Hot but not hot hot. More salty, acidy, funky hot. Great all rounder.
